22nd Annual California Avocado Festival
On going events schedule for the Festival includes three live music venues staging the performances by over 60 bands. The Festival is home to the world’s largest vat of guacamole amongst many other avocado and food dishes to pick from. Don’t miss the best guacamole contest and avocado auction at the Avocado performing stage on Sunday at 8th street. Americans eat 46 million pounds of avocados on Super Bowl Sunday alone. So no wonder the fruit has it’s own festival in Carpenteria, California, from October 2nd through 4th, 2009.
